You've Got Mail

You've Got Mail, Inbox (1), Notifications, Messages, chats, .... My mom has always said since we were little that if your ears are ringing it meant that someone was thinking of you. I think that we've got a little bit more of a visual on that thought now ;) I love this movie, and this line is really so true-for me anyways. Those words just light up my day. And sometimes, the context from those occassionally unexpected notes from friends or family is just enough to help me push through the rest of the day. "You've Got Mail"--translation: Someone thought of you today ;)

Johnny And June - Heidi Newfield - Official Video

My new favorite song! Love it! I would have to say that one of the most therapeadic rituals I have to make me feel better is singing a song in the car that I know all of the words to right on que. :) Makes me so happy! I've got my little sister all wrapped up in this song too, and it has become our "52" song. My car has corresponding numbers with the volume the music plays at, and 52 is how high the volume is to perfectly drown out our voices at when we sing as loud as we can! The only thing that could make it better, would be if it were sunny outside, and the car was moving towards the coast... ;)

Tom Petty - Learning To Fly

I led a very productive weekend these past 3 days.. I took on an extra shift at work as well as making the decision to tackle my closet and get organized for awhile! I ended up finding a box that was in another box, that was sitting quietly on the very highest shelf in my closet. - A box of countless valentines day cards and notes I have saved since elementary school and branded as 'special' ones. :) My motivated cleaning spert settled at being a few moments (or an hour) of realizing all of the love (in different forms) that was sitting in that box on my floor. As I sat there I thought of my dear true friend who’s heart always lands broken at the end of relationships. In the past I’ve been (admittedly) jealous of her. Time after time, she welcomes new people into her life so easily, and in one season of her life she seems to welcome 3 times the amount of people in her heart than I do. Life isn’t fair I would think. (Which was also the topic at church today) “Can’t I just have ONE special person in my life compared to her bunches??”, I would ask myself.
However; since about December, I have seen an old side to her that is so sincerely happy, and hasn’t shown its face in such a long time. Her being truly content, made me sky high happy for her. There is way too much energy put into being jealous of others. Lets be happy for them! And in being happy for them, we have the hope that they may let us in so that we can be apart of it!
And, not that having a lot of people in your life is bad. -but for me, today, I’m counting it as a blessing. Because her tears after losing someone is enough for me to realize that I may not be the best judge of who comes into my heart. God, I leave it to you! You hold the key, and I want you to decide when and who opens that gate.  <3

Brad Paisley - Welcome To The Future

I just read an article that totally blew my mind. haha. It was about things that babies born in the year 2011 will never know. Here's a few things on the list:

Video tapes- where's the skip button?!
Movie rental tapes- actually getting in your car and driving to get a movie.
Travel Agents- (ehem--priceline.com)
Paper maps- TomTom always knows where to go ;)
Wired phones/long distance- why pay for a phone that plugs into a wall??
The evening news- it's always on
CD's- :( sad. but so true.
Film cameras.- My first camera was a "one-ten" film camera. ;)
Phone books- thank goodness!
Handwritten letters/cursive- I hope not! These are my favorite!

Hahaha, it's crazy! So wierd to think that things can change so much in just a few years. I love it! It's so exciting!
